Gregorian Calendar Stepping
A common error in naive age calculators is dividing total days by $365$ or $365.25$. Because calendar months vary between 28, 29, 30, and 31 days, ChronoAge uses step-by-step calendar advancement:
- Whole years are advanced first, clamping leap day births (Feb 29) on non-leap years.
- Whole calendar months are counted without underflowing month-end borders.
- Remaining exact days, hours, minutes, and seconds are calculated to microsecond precision.
Mean Tropical Solar Precision
In addition to traditional integer years, ChronoAge computes your Solar Decimal Age using the Mean Tropical Year constant (365.2422 days). This represents the exact astronomical time it takes Earth to complete one full orbit around the Sun relative to the vernal equinox.
